An antique solid sterling silver cigarette case, of curved form with pattern engraved design to front and back  acanthus scroll design with monogrammed cartouche to front, FWC. In very good condition with good tight closing, gilded interior, no major dents or damage, some light wear overall. Engraved inside V.A.D MIDDxVII 1914-1919. WW1 memorial engraving for the Middlesex Regiment 7th Battalion who fought at The Somme. Hallmarked Birmingham, 1918 by maker Joseph Gloster. 8.4cm x 6.3cm x 1.9cm deep, 61.5g.
