SCENTED GERANIUM - The Orange Fizz pelargonium gets its name from its zesty orange scented leaves rather than its colouring and is used as an insect repellent against flying pests. During the Spring and Summer months, it produces lovely pinky lilac flowers with deeper purple markings, making it an attractive houseplant for a kitchen or conservatory window ledge.
GROWING OUTDOORS - This plant can be grown outdoors in a patio pot but it is important to only place it outside when the risk of frost has passed. If wishing to grow outdoors, planting in patio pots allows it to be moved into a shed or greenhouse during the Winter months.
CARE - Orange Fizz geraniums grow best in moderately fertile, moist but well-draining soil in full sunlight. To prolong the flowering cycle, remove any spent flowers as they fade. Scented geraniums like to be kept well fed, using a dilute solution of a high-potash liquid fertiliser such as tomato feed at regular intervals.
