This is a cool Art Deco Lawson Clock, called the Zephyr, Model P40 Style 304.

The tag on the back of clock says it was manufactured in Pasadena, CA.  There is an amazing website called Decopix that shares a lot of information about Lawson clocks.

I inherited this clock from a friend who died. I know he had it for many years before his death, which was in 2020.

This clock is running, although I’m not sure how good of time it keeps. I plugged it in and the second dial moves and then eventually the minute dial clicks over, if that makes sense. Condition-wise, I’d say it’s only fair. There is a lot of surface wear, and some scratching and different discoloration that distract from its overall appearance somewhat. The clear cover over the numbers has become discolored. I tried to take a lot of pictures to show the various scratches and surface issues. The cord has been replaced at some point, it appears to be much newer than an original cord.

This clock measures approximately 8" long x 3 3/4" high x 3 1/4" deep.

We found some better interesting old vintage ads for these clocks in newspapers.com, feel free to print if you’re interested.

We will package this clock carefully for protection. Please let me know if you have any questions, or want any additional photographs!
