Superb Royal Naval Oak & Brass Salt Beef or Food Storage Tub (c.1850)

This fabulous naval antique is in great used condition and has a wonderful patina commensurate with its use. Originally used to store essential food or salt beef but could now be repurposed for all sorts of uses, like serving Rum! Made from solid oak, coopered with brass bands and has a solid brass hinge & lock to the lid. It measures 19”W x 14D x 20.5”H and is now ready for a new home or collection.
