Mount of Foraminifera, Globorotalia fimbriata, from Gulf of Mexico microfossil microscope slide. Specimens were collected by the R/V Alaminos cruise in September 1966. The Texas A&M University's Research Vessel Alaminos surveyed and sampled the deep-water foraminifera along two selected profiles across the continental slope and abyssal plain of the Gulf of Mexico in September 1966.
