Vehicle Fitment
- 1993–2002 Chevrolet Camaro (4th Gen GM F-Body — all trims including Base, RS, Z28, SS)
- 1993–2002 Pontiac Firebird (4th Gen GM F-Body — all trims including Base, Formula, Trans Am)
Fitment Notes
- Bolt-in compatible with both factory OE stamped steel control arms and QA1 tubular control arms — no control arm replacement required
- Upper mount: Stud type / Lower mount: T-bar type
- Some applications may require the lower A-arm to be dropped for installation; shock body diameter may require enlarging the lower control arm shock opening
- Provides 0 to –2 inches of front ride height adjustability; for additional drop beyond 2 inches, consider adding drop spindles
- 300 lbs/in spring rate is the mid-range street option — ideal for front axle weight builds in the 1,700–1,800 lb range; for lighter builds see GS502-15275 (275 lbs/in); for heavier builds see the 325 lbs/in option
- Register shocks at QA1.net/Warranty before installation to activate Limited Lifetime Warranty
Features
- Single adjustable GS502 Pro Coil shock — 18 valving positions of simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment for easy on-car tuning
- Provides 0 to –2 inches of front ride height adjustability via threaded shock body spring seat nut
- Includes a 15-inch high travel chrome silicon spring at 300 lbs/in — engineered specifically for the 4th Gen F-Body front suspension geometry and spring perch
- Fewer coils and smaller wire diameter vs. conventional springs for increased travel and reduced unsprung weight
- Bolt-in with both factory OE and QA1 tubular control arms for maximum build flexibility
- Stud upper / T-bar lower mount configuration for stock-style 4th Gen F-Body front suspension integration
- Suitable for street performance, autocross, road racing, drag racing, and street rod applications
- 100% dyno-tested and serialized for verified, consistent performance

Product Description
The QA1 GS502-15300 is a single adjustable front Pro Coil coilover system engineered as a bolt-in front suspension upgrade for 1993–2002 4th Gen GM F-Body vehicles — including all Camaro and Firebird variants from the base model through the Z28, SS, Formula, and Trans Am. This kit replaces the factory front coil spring and shock with an adjustable coilover assembly providing up to 2 inches of ride height drop and 18 simultaneous compression and rebound valving positions. The 15-inch chrome silicon high travel spring at 300 lbs/in is the mid-range street rate for this platform, stepping up from the 275 lbs/in soft option for builds with a slightly heavier front axle weight.
The GS502 single adjustable shock offers an 18-position valve dial that adjusts compression and rebound simultaneously — simple, effective, and accessible by turning the steering wheel to full lock. This kit installs with both factory OE stamped steel control arms and QA1 tubular control arms with no mandatory control arm replacement needed. Each shock is 100% dyno-tested, serialized, and serviceable by QA1 Authorized Service Centers. Register at QA1.net/Warranty before installation to activate the Limited Lifetime Warranty.
