Product Description

The Kooks 2863H420 is a complete long tube header and catted Y-pipe connection kit engineered for 2019+ GM 1500 Series trucks and SUVs equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 EcoTec3 engine — including the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Suburban, GMC Sierra 1500 and Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade. The kit pairs 1-7/8" x 3" T304 stainless long tube headers with a 3" x 3-1/2" catted stainless steel Y-pipe that connects directly at the factory 3-1/2" OEM outlet — eliminating the need to cut or modify the factory cat-back. The 1-7/8" primary-to-3" collector design maximizes exhaust flow and scavenging on the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8, improving throttle response, exhaust sound character, and mid-to-high RPM power output over the factory cast iron exhaust manifolds.

The H420 suffix designates the standard catted Y-pipe variant; for the GREEN cat version, see Kooks part number 2863H430. Optional Jet-Hot Extreme 1300° ceramic coatings are available at time of order (Classic Polish, Satin Silver, Satin Black, Flat Black) for improved heat management in the under-truck exhaust environment — note coating adds 10–15 business days to lead time.
