A beautiful antique Victorian 21 inch solid (not filled, rolled or plated) 9k rose gold faceted belcher chain necklace, marks of Joseph Moore, dating to circa 1890.
It's nice and quite unusual to find a Victorian belcher chain in all original condition with both the signed barrel clasp and signed chain still together! This gorgeous antique Victorian solid 9k light rose gold 2.5mm chain necklace has wonderful oval belcher links which have been very finely hand hammered on the edges creating facets which catch the light beautifully from every direction, the chain is held with its original solid 9k rose gold push in barrel clasp-very pretty! Both the chain and clasp are marked '9C' for 9k gold and have maker's mark 'J.M' for Joseph Moore (1817-1892) trading as J E Moore and Frank Moore of Petsford Street, Birmingham (the firm traded under this name until 1915 when it was bought by Fattorini & Sons). The chain tests for 9k gold.
The chain measures approximately 21 inches long and is about 2.5mm wide. The links are about 4mm long. The chain weighs approximately 6.65 grams.
The chain is in very good original condition with all over general wear. The clasp works well.

Items cannot be returned for any condition issues either shown in the pictures or mentioned in the listing. As many items we sell are one hundred years or older we will not accept returns for wear consistent with the item's age. Any item mentioned as sold 'as is' in the listing will not be eligible for any form of return or refund. If it is determined an item is eligible for a return, the item must be shipped back within 48 hours, insured and tracked. A restocking fee may apply.
