Gilt bronze, size 4 3/4. Deeply rounded face band, 2.6mm width. Rounded conical bezel, perhaps an anatomical reference, superficially imitating a gemstone and blatantly advertising the intentions of the wearer. Roman prostitutes were typically adolescents, largely slaves. Prostitution was practiced openly with brothels sometimes sharing doors with libraries.
