This special clock runs on air pressure and is known as a mechanical torsion pendulum clock. A special bellows system moves with the difference in atmospheric pressure and room temperature. That change in pressure is caught in the bellows and the stored power is used to run the clock. It’s the closest thing to perpetual motion that has ever been built and requires very little intervention or winding if at all.
I have shipped a number of these clocks that have all arrive safely with double boxing - in this case triple boxing - and quality packing materials.
