Ancient EGYPTIAN Vintage Wood / Ceramic Engraved Handmade CHESS Set Complete
This vintage ancient Egyptian themed Chess set has been in my private collection for many years and it is an astonishingly intricate work of art. The board made of solid wood (see photos of the back) and it is completely covered with rich gold metal hand created artwork depicting images of pharaohs, solders, chariot races and other scenes from their life, as they appear in ancient Egyptian art. The pieces are made of glazed ceramics
The board is large, measuring approx. 19" by 19" and the game pieces range in size between 6" and 3.5" tall. The listing pictures do not do this set justice as it is much more impressive in person. The board does not fold.
The board and pieces (complete set) are in excellently well preserved vintage condition (see listing photos for detail) and has no known defects.
