170+ real family photos - Latvia, USA, Australia - 1910s-1950s Rechner-Schultz

A fascinating collection of over 170 family photos, spanning about 40 turbulent years, of either family or friends originally in Riga, Latvia before travelling to Minneapolis and Chicago in the US, and Maitland, South Australia. Only a few of the photos are able to be shown in the 12 images we have posted.

While non-English translation wasn't possible, names that feature are Hilda Rechner-Schultz in Maitland (1951), Erna and Arnold Blankenberg (1910), the photo of the two children with hats), a prominent public funeral in Latvia for a patriarch from the Otto family (circa 1930s). Mary is the name for the blonde nurse showing off her uniform.

We are selling this as a complete collection in the hope of finding a family member, community historian or museum to make the connections and tell the full story. If not, it is a wealth of original photos suitable for resale for sellers specialising in vintage photos. Photo sizes range from small (8.5 x 6 cm.) to medium (15 x 12 cm.) with most small-sized.

Condition: Varying condition from acceptable to good. Some have chips and damage, but most are good. Writing (in Latvian?) and the backs of quite a few.
