The body made of solid Swamp Ash delivers an open, resonant basic character with powerful bass, present mids and brilliant highs. The flat-top construction creates a direct and transparent tone that is ideal for both clean passages and powerful overdrive sounds. In combination with the screwed maple neck and the maple fingerboard, a particularly articulated sound is created with a quick response and excellent assertiveness in the band mix.
The specially developed Fiore neck profile ensures a comfortable playing feel over the entire length of the fingerboard. The 25.5-inch scale length provides tight string tension and clear tone definition, while the 10-inch fingerboard radius allows for a perfect balance between comfortable chords and precise soloing. The characteristic PRS Bird inlays also give the instrument the brand's unmistakable look.
The specially developed Fiore pickup configuration consisting of a humbucker and two single coils ensures maximum tonal flexibility. Numerous sound variations can be accessed via the 5-way blade switch as well as a volume control and two push/pull tone controls - from crystal-clear single coil sounds to crisp funk rhythms to powerful lead sounds with humbucker power.
The 2-point steel tremolo enables sensitive vibrato effects and at the same time ensures a stable mood. Vintage style locking tuners also support reliable tuning stability and make changing strings easier. The instrument is rounded off by the high-quality High Gloss Nitro finish in the characteristic Black Doghair finish, which impressively highlights the grain of the Swamp Ash body.
