Vintage McBrine Genuine Walrus Leather Doctor's Bag in Remarkable Condition.

This bag is a true piece of Canadiana history manufactured by McBrine Baggage Co. of Kitchener Ontario Canada in the early 1900s. 
The company was in operation from the l894 right up to 1969 and was reported to have grown to be one of the worlds largest bag and luggage manufacturers during this time.

There is a stamp visible on the bottom which reads McBrine Genuine Walrus and the # 19361 just above. 
I am unable to verify exact date made but apparently bags made from Walrus hides were popular up to 1910. 
According to research could be as late as 1920.

Surprizing this bag has a very limited amount of wear considering it's age. There is a small tear on the inside leather lining at one end and a small piece of leather missing from the name tag holder, as well as a small piece missing on the band by one of the latches. 
The bag opens and closes fine and latches both work as they should. 
Unfortunately I do not have the key to try the lock.
