Antique Ludwig Bass Drum Pedal – Patent Feb. 28, 1899


Offered here is a very early Ludwig bass drum pedal featuring the famous “PAT. FEB. 28 ’99 – LUDWIG PEDAL” stamping on the footboard. This design originates from the original bass drum pedal patent filed by the Ludwig brothers in Chicago.


These pedals were produced in the early decades of the 20th century and represent one of the earliest commercially successful bass drum pedal designs.
