Nintendo NES ROB Complete Gyro Set w Gyromite READ Powers on, Spins, No Vertical

PLEASE READ ALL:  AS-IS SALE being sold for parts or repair. NO RETURNS. Includes all needed GYRO parts, including the Gyromite game in a sleeve. Unit powers on, appears to properly read the screen. You can hear the gears turning, however they are not catching and the unit will not automatically move up and down. You can easily move the arms up and down with your hand, it is not stuck. Overview

This is a beautiful, physically well-preserved Nintendo R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy) with the full Gyro Set accessories. This unit is being sold for parts or repair due to a specific mechanical issue but it is a complete set that would make an excellent restoration project or a high-end display piece.

Mechanical Status (Please Read)

• The Issue: The vertical (Up/Down) movement is not working. You can hear the motor engaging and the gears spinning, but the robot does not "catch" to raise or lower. The head moves up and down manually with very little resistance, suggesting a slipped or cracked gear—a common and well-documented fix for NES enthusiasts.

• Other Functions: The unit powers on, and the side-to-side and claw movements appear functional.

This is a complete Gyro Set bundle, which includes:

• 1x R.O.B. Robot (Clean battery compartment, no major yellowing)

• 2x Gyro Claws (Attached to R.O.B.)

• 1x Gyro Spinner (The motorized base used to spin the gyros)

• 2x Gyro Trays (The red circular platforms)

• 2x Gyros (Blue and Red weighted spinning tops)

• 1x Controller Cradle (The large white plastic piece that holds the NES controller)

• 1x Gyromite NES Game Cartridge (Included to complete the set)

Cosmetic Condition

As seen in the photos, the plastic is in excellent shape for its age. There is very little of the typical "beige" discoloration. All battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.

Ships securely and quickly. Given the vintage nature of the plastic, I will ensure this is padded heavily for safe arrival.
