KURZWEIL K2000 REVIVAL! Beautiful, high contrast display kit

Breathe new life into your K2000. A complete, drop-in replacement.

NO soldering, and NO modifications are required. Full fitting instructions supplied. The cable is already professionally soldered to the new display, this cable will plug into a connector inside your K2000 (where the existing display's cable is plugged in at the moment).

*BUT there is a rare version of the K2000R/RS that this display will not fit without a small modification - please see photos below

Plug and play, no soldering required. Connects in place of the original display. You will be happy to hear that NO MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED to your K2000 keyboard. Most versions of the K2000R/K2000RS need no modifications either. But there is a very early version of the K2000R/RS that will NOT allow this new display to fit, without a modification to your unit (it is not an electrical modification, it's an enlargement of two screw-holes). Please see the photographs below for details of how to check.

Postage:

UK: The display is shipped using the Tracked 48 (Royal Mail) service. Prices are set by Ebay, and are approximately £3 - £4.

EUROPEAN UNION: Your country's import fees (VAT) are included in the purchase price. The new customs fees (from July 2026) are paid by me in advance. The price you see is the price you pay, you do not need to do anything else. International Signed-For service (registered airmail) is £10

USA: The price you see is the price you pay! For my customers in the USA, I pay the import fees (reciprocal tariffs) in advance. You do not need to do anything. I send using Royal Mail's International Tracked service (registered airmail) which is £10

Australia / New Zealand: You don't need to pay anything extra. When you purchase the item, I am given a unique ABN number that shows customs that all charges have been paid already. This is supplied with the package, so you don't need to do anything. Postage (Royal Mail Tracked Airmail) costs £10.

Norway: You do not need to pay any extra fees. I will attach the correct VOEC code to your package, so that customs can see that no further fees need to be paid. I send your package using Royal Mail's International Tracked service, which costs £10.

If your country is not on the list, don't worry! Please contact me and I will let you know if there are any charges that may be payable, and I will always use the best service with the lowest possible fees :) I will always use a trackable airmail service, the postage cost is £10. 

I combine postage on all of my items, please wait for an invoice if you buy more than one item. If you do end up paying too much postage, I will refund it to you :)

How to check your K2000R/K2000RS to see if the new display will fit without modifications:

STEP 1: CHECK THE LAST TWO PHOTOGRAPHS ABOVE, REMOVE BOTH RACKMOUNT EARS, AND REMOVE THE LID. LOCATE THE SCREW AS SHOWN IN THE FIRST OF THOSE TWO PHOTOS, AND REMOVE IT.

STEP 2: COMPARE THE SCREW HOLE TO LAST PHOTO ABOVE. NOTICE THE ELONGATED SCREW HOLE IN THE PHOTO.
 
- IF YOUR K2000 HAS THE SAME ELONGATED SCREW HOLE, YOU CAN FIT THE NEW DISPLAY EASILY WITHOUT MODIFICATION.

- IF YOUR K2000 HAS A ROUND SCREW HOLE HERE, YOU CANNOT ADJUST THE CHASSIS, AND YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO FIT THE NEW DISPLAY UNLESS YOU MODIFY THE CHASSIS.
PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE UNSURE. MODIFYING THE CHASSIS IS NOT A VERY DIFFICULT PROCEDURE. IT INVOLVES ENLARGING / ELONGATING THE SCREW HOLE IN THE PICTURE. THERE ARE ALSO OTHER WAYS TO MAKE THE DISPLAY FIT. CONTACT ME AND I WILL EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENT METHODS.
