Westone Thunder III Bass, made in Japan, 1983.
Very good condition, given the age of the instrument.
If you're reading this, then you'll know the quality of Westone guitars, which have developed something of a cult status. If you know, you know!
Through-neck construction, giving almost heelless access to the upper frets.
Ash body, maple/walnut/maple neck with "ebonised" rosewood fingerboard.
Brass hardware (bridge, controls and nut) now tarnished with age.
Tiny amounts of cosmetic damage to the headstock. Buckle rash on the back, as I wore studded belts a lot back in the day!
A supremely wide range of tones are provided by this bass's Precision-style neck and Jazz-style bridge pickups.
Bass features master volume and tone controls and the bass/treble boosting active circuit control.
The three switches are for coil tap, in/out of phase and active circuitry on/off.
This is a superb bass, built to a supremely high quality.
Supplied with a new Ritter gig bag.
Collection from Nottingham only.
