The Douglas Banner at the Battle of Otterburn (1388) was a significant Scottish standard carried into battle against the English. Archibald Douglas of Cavers, 1st Laird and illegitimate son of the 2nd Earl of Douglas, is believed to have carried this banner. The banner is closely linked to the victory over Hotspur.
