ITEM: Chuck Berry: The Autobiography. Autographed, first edition hardcover, signature obtained from Mr. Berry at a book signing in Washington, DC during his promotional tour for the book.  I am the first and only owner of this book…before you, anyway.
This is famously one of the few rock memoirs written entirely by the artist without a ghostwriter. Berry drafted much of the manuscript while serving time for tax evasion in the late 1970s, resulting in a narrative that mirrors the rhythmic, wordplay-heavy style of his song lyrics.

CONDITION: This book was opened twice: once when it was signed, and once when it was photographed. (I bought two copies.) Other than that, it’s been on a shelf in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room. Pages are excellent. Minor shelf wear on the dust jacket.
