Retrieved from garage storage. We went on our first and only overnight hiking trip around 50 years ago, I’m fairly sure this compass was used then, and not very much since.  The cover of the original instruction manual, stuffed into the leather case, has come detached. There is a separate Silva instruction card for the clinometer.  The leather case shows ~ 1/2 in. scuff to one seam.  I will ship with the paper outside the case – it would be foolish to try and cram it back in there.
