A wonderful mid-century piece of American shooting sports history.

This 1965 National Rifle Association High Power Rifle competition medal was awarded at the Regional Matches, featuring bars for Reserve 1st and First Place along with the Expert designation. The medal is beautifully cast with a detailed rifleman scene and classic NRA eagle motifs.

The reverse is maker marked BLACKINTON, a well-known manufacturer of badges and medals used by law enforcement, military organizations, and competitive shooting groups.

The medal remains mounted on its original red, white, and blue ribbon and is housed in the original presentation box, making it an excellent display piece for collectors of NRA memorabilia, shooting sports history, or vintage American medals.
