I originally bought this pre-loved with the corner dinged and it’s just cosmetic and never had any issues with opening or using the laptop.

My son attempted an upgrade and when he put it back together there was no power or lights. Tried to reset using the pin hole on back but that didn’t work.

LCD/keyboard all worked fine so if you can troubleshoot it was a great gaming laptop or use as parts to fix another similar model. If you are technically inclined maybe you can get it to work.
