An fluorescent specimen of muticolor sphalerite with dolomite coated in smithsonite from a find on private property  in Columbia County, Pennsylvania.


This specimen displays sphalerite and galena in dolomite and limestone. This specimen has a striking pattern of orange and bluish sphalerite (sphalerite appears more purple than it actually is in pictures)

There is smithsonite on this specimen visible in SW coating dolomite


This specimen is triboluminescent:

sphalerite on this specimen can be scratched by metal in a dark room with no eye light adjustment and send off "sparks" of orange light


Sphalerite: Orange, peach, bluish purple LW, weaker MW and SW

Smithsonite: Blue and pink SW
