This bag contains a 50/50 mix of two of the most popular media types;
Both Alfagrog E40 and Pumice are highly porous, inert and lightweight filter media designed for biological filtration in ponds and aquariums. Their huge surface area (due to air pockets) promotes beneficial bacteria growth and a stable eco-system.
The highly porous structure allows beneficial bacteria to colonize in large numbers, breaking down fish waste and enhancing water quality.
The media bag has versatile uses, ideal for koi ponds,, multi-chamber filters, and can be used for decorative, landscaping purposes, or as a substrate in aquariums.
The bag can be placed in a filter, or directly into a pond, within moving water.
