Victorian Antique Beaded Purse w/ Floral Design & Fringe, PAT’D SEPT 9 1890 Frame
Victorian beaded evening purse featuring a vibrant floral design hand-strung with glass seed beads in shades of red, pink, blue, yellow, and green. The purse is fitted with an ornate metal frame and original chain handle. The clasp hardware is stamped “PAT’D SEPT 9. 90,” confirming a patent date from 1890 and placing the frame solidly in the late 19th century. The beadwork, floral patterning, and interior lining are all consistent with this era, likely dating the completed purse to circa 1895–1910.
This is an estate piece and genuine antique survivor with elegant beaded fringe along the bottom edge and a beautiful holly-and-berries repoussé design on the frame. A wonderful addition to a Victorian or accessory collection.
