About the Steel Overbox


A practical repair solution for damaged built-in or recessed electric meter boxes.


This overbox is designed to fit over an existing damaged meter box where the original box is built into or inset into the wall.


An overbox provides an ideal alternative to replacing a damaged inset/recessed meter box, which can be difficult and costly to remove and replace.

Please measure your existing meter box before purchasing to ensure the overbox will fit correctly.

Installation

Easy and quick to fit over the existing meter box.

  • Position the overbox so that it covers the existing meter box.
  • Mark the four fixing holes onto the brickwork or plaster.
  • Drill the brickwork or plaster using suitable equipment.
  • Fit appropriate wall plugs/raw plugs.
  • Secure the overbox to the wall using the supplied screws.
  • If necessary, apply suitable sealant around the edge of the frame.
