A quick, affordable DIY repair solution for damaged gas and electric recessed (inset) meter boxes.


Designed to fit directly over an existing damaged inset meter box, the Overbox provides a safe, secure and professional-looking repair without the need to remove the original meter box from the wall. This avoids one of the most expensive and disruptive types of meter box replacement.


Manufactured from high-impact, UV-stable ASA engineering-grade thermoplastic, our Overboxes are built to withstand the UK's weather conditions whilst maintaining their appearance for years to come.

Overbox Dimensions - 634mm height x 494mm width x 100mm depth. 

Internal dimensions - 618mm height x 440mm width x 66mm depth. 


The Overbox can fit over existing inset meter boxes with overall sizes no bigger than 618mm height x 440mm width x66mm depth.


Installation

Designed for a simple DIY installation.

  1. • The overall box will fit over an inset meter box who’s dimensions are not bigger that 618mm height x 440mm width x 66mm depth
  2. • Place the Overbox over the inset meter box & position.
  3. • With a pencil mark positions where you are going to fix the Overbox to the wall.
  4. • Remove Overbox & drill holes into the wall, use a fastening/raw plug suitable for your type of wall construction 
  5. • Place the Overbox and fasten screws. 
  6. • Tighten screws once Overbox is aligned.
