Here we have a very nice Martin N-20! Serial 47xxxx dates to 1987. This is of course the model made famous by Willie’s “Trigger”. Martin nylon string models are definitely a bit rare (fewer then 700 were estimated to have been produced between ’69-’87).
Looks very nice overall with a beautifully aged golden tone. Build quality on this is excellent- and the condition overall is good with some honest playing wear as seen, a few bumps/nicks as seen on the headstock. The only repair - a cleated 2” crack on the back bass side upper bout that was professionally repaired.
Action is set up very nice- with plenty of saddle remaining (1/8″) and no need to a reset or any other work- it plays great! Relatively light fretwear, as you’d expect for a nylon-stringed instrument. 26 3/8″ scale length, nut width= 2.15″.
Please take a careful look at all the photos and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
-Includes OHSC (Black molded Martin missing emblem)
