ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 PCI Sound Card Used – Untested – Sold As-Is

This is an ASUS Xonar DS (model Xonar DS/7.1 or Xonar DS/A variant) PCI sound card with 7.1-channel HD audio support – a popular mid-range sound card from around 2008–2010, known for excellent sound quality, low noise, Dolby/DTS processing, and great for gaming, music, movies, or upgrading onboard audio in older PCs.

It worked perfectly years ago and has been stored in a dry, smoke-free environment ever since. The Xonar DS series is highly regarded for reliability and longevity – many users in 2025–2026 still run them daily in retro/modern builds for superior audio over motherboard sound. These cards age very well (solid capacitors, low-heat design, no widespread age-related failures when stored properly), and most just need a dust clean and drivers (ASUS Xonar or UNi Xonar modded drivers) to perform great after 15+ years.

I don’t have a compatible PCI system to test it right now, so it's sold untested and as-is. But based on how durable and well-loved this model is (strong community reports on Head-Fi, Vogons, and audio forums, many still fully functional), there's a very big chance this card works flawlessly once installed – pop it in, clean any dust, install ASUS/UNi Xonar drivers (widely available), and enjoy clear, high-quality audio.
