This is an excellent example of a 19th century handmade walnut sewing box, found in Ohio, the population center of the United States at that time. It features lovely dovetailed corners and a drawer as well as a generous pin cushion on top and a hinged lid that opens to reveal another storage compartment. Very good antique condition. Measures 8" wide by 10.5" deep and about 5" high at the top of the box bottom of the pin cushion.
