Description: This is a very rare and extremely neat Erie Diesel Locomotive that appears to be an exact replica / prototypically made exact to a Erie scheme and is so nicely lettered that I suspect it is either factory painted or if it is not factory painted then it was done by a professional as you cannot even see the ends of the decals other than the numbers (which do appear installed but the previous owner as you can see the edges on them) This has window glazing installed and even appears to be lightly weathered here and there. I was told when I bought this that it is Made by Overland (Builder was Ajin) for River Raisin, But I do not know thats the case for sure because the only identical model I can find in the brass guide is made by Ajin Imported by Overland. This Model is rare, rare enough you may only see one pop up every few years! I am also listing (separately) The Brass A-Unit that goes with this at the link below.
Condition: This one appears (by looking at the wheels) that is has either not been ran or maybe just test ran. I did set it on my test track though and it runs incredibly good and smooth and can be slowed down to a crawl without any hiccup / jumpiness!! It has very nice window glazing installed and is just super detailed with operating doors (and tiny door handles) and shell hooks and exhaust fans and air hoses and many grab irons, and even has a spring loaded bumper under each door etc., and it even has S Scale (True S Scale) Kadee Couplers installed! Simply a very nice train! Cosmetically though, even though for its age it looks to be great shape, there are some discolored spots here and there in the paint or shiny spots that look like its likely where it was just sitting in foam or something of that sort. Also, there are a few minor scratches here and there but are not vey noticeable. Other than those things though it looks really good to me but I do have to mention that I do not have the original box for it or any parts bag if it originally came with one. But in my opinion this still looks amazing and is rare enough its worth jumping on while its available. With that said please look closely at the photos and make your own judgment on this one so that there are not surprises.
