The PM7005 is equipped with a "discrete HDAM circuit" that Marantz only uses in its high-end amplifiers. This circuit is also used in the PM8005, but the PM7005 uses an "independent board," making it a lower-end model that surpasses its higher-end counterparts. In the PM7005 Applause, the discrete HDAM circuit components that produce the "mellow sound" necessary for high-end audio have been replaced with components equivalent to those found in the AIRBOW PM11S3 Ultimate, the highest-end integrated amplifier. Furthermore, to fully exploit the HDAM circuit's unique characteristics, over 100 individual components have been replaced, achieving a transparent, delicate, and beautiful sound comparable to that of high-end equipment at this price point. Furthermore, the USB input section has been optimized to match the sound quality of the significantly upgraded analog amplifier circuit, significantly improving its capabilities as a high-resolution and DSD-compatible USB receiver.
