Fresh from a local estate! Tonight, in separate auctions, I will be listing examples from a small collection of pewter and lead castings of famous historical medals, collected during a Grand Victorian Tour of Europe, in the late 1800's.
The exact age of the casting is unknown, but certainly 1800's or earlier.
Obverse, only. (reverse is blank.) Pewter uniface aftercast of a circa-1568 silver medal by memorializing the Beheading of the counts of Egmond and Horne on June 5, 1568 in Brussels.
