Vintage brass cricket box featuring a beautiful pierced design and embossed detailing on both the lid and body. Traditionally used in parts of Asia to house live crickets for their sound, these boxes are now collected as decorative curios, incense holders, or small storage containers.
This piece has a lovely aged patina and heart-shaped and round cutouts for ventilation. The lid lifts off and the box is fully functional.
