Up for sale is an Antique 1874 Knights of Pythias Supreme Lodge "CHARITY" Enamel Pin Broach. This pin is approximately 2 1/2" on each side. The medal is a silver toned triangular badge with intricate engraving on the edges. It features a dark blue enamel "C" in the center, which stands for "Charity" one of the orders' core principles (along with Friendship and Benevolence, or F.C.B) The top bar with a Clasp fastening The back reads Copy Right 1874 S. Davis Supreme Lodge S.C. C F B
The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organization and secret society founded in Washington, D.C., on February 19, 1864. The Knights of Pythias was the first fraternal organization to receive a charter under an act of the United States Congress.
