The album reflects the band's views on the music business at the time and explores themes of absence and loss, particularly in the classic "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," a tribute to founding member Syd Barrett.

The legendary ninth Pink Floyd album finally back on vinyl

The vinyl lovers among Pink Floyd fans have been eagerly waiting for this. The rock legends are gradually releasing all of their albums as LPs again. The band released its first four records in June 2016, with further albums following in August and September. Now the series continues once again with “Wish You Were Here”.

The songs on the reissue were remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman. All reissues in the series are released on 180g vinyl. The cover artwork is the original design.
