“Once Upon A Time” was originally released in October 1985 and is the No. 1 album by the band Simple Minds, which shaped an entire era. It contains the hit singles "Alive and Kicking" and "Sanctify Yourself" which are now being released along with the rest of the album in a 5CD box set. The bonus discs contain original and extended versions of "Don't You (Forget About Me)", single edits, 12" mixes, B-sides, unreleased tracks and the "Live In The City Of Light" as well as a 36-page booklet with rare pictures, interviews and a track by track guide.
In addition, to celebrate the 40th anniversary, the album is also being released as a ruby red vinyl with a gatefold cover, on the vinyl you can also find "Don't You (Forget About Me)" on the tracklist for the first time and the gatefold cover shows Anton Corbijin's famous photo, which he took of the band at Live Aid in 1985.
