Comes in original box with custom styrofoam packing to keep it safe - Santa has glitter snow texture all over - 16" tall heavy figurine feels ceramic but I think it is a composite material.  Very charming - STATEMENT piece for mantel or center of table.  Box itself can be part of your decor - some spotting on paper wrapped box but I believe it was added to add character or aged to look old
