Product Description:
74HC595 shift register IC is a branch of SOIC version. Clock inputs data and locks it to release the IO pin on the micro. All pins on the IC are separated by a standard 0.1 inch spacer. The serial input and output pins are located on the opposite side of the circuit board, and the remaining pins are carried so that multiple shift register boards can be linked together. This is a CMOS shift register with open drain output. The output port is a controllable three-state output terminal.
