After "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" was "A Saucerful of Secrets" the second album by Pink Floyd. During the recordings in the Abbey Road Studios in 1967/1968, Syd Barrett's psychological problems increased more and more, and two of his songs were ultimately not adopted into the album. The band was looking for a second guitarist: First, Jeff Beck was under discussion, but who turned out to be too expensive. The choice finally fell on David Gilmour, a friend of the band. The last recordings for the album were played by Gilmour alone. The final separation from Syd Barrett then took place in April 1968.

The second pink floyd album finally back on vinyl again

The vinyll lovers were longing for this among Pink Floyd fans. The rock legends gradually publish all their albums as LPs. In June 2016 it starts with the first four records of the band, including "A Saucerful of Secrets".

For the new edition, all songs on the album by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman were completely newly mastered.

At the same time as "A Saucerful of Secrets", the albums were also "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn",, "More" and "Ummagumma" reissued. All Reissues appear on 180 g heavy vinyl. Coverartwork is the original design.
