"Ummagumma" is Pink Floyd's fourth long player. The record was originally released in October 1969.

It is also the band's first double album, which consists of a live and a studio part. The live recordings were made at two concerts at the College of Commerce in Manchester and at the Mother's Club in Cambridge.

When recording the studio part, Pink Floyd took an unusual approach. Each of the four band members had a quarter of the LP available for their own recordings. Among other things, Roger Waters' folk ballad "Grantchester Meadows" and Gilmour's three-part psychedelic rock piece "The Narrow Way" were created.

The recording of “Ummagumma” took place at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. As with their first two albums, Norman Smith, who also worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles, was at the mixing desk.

The legendary double album finally back on vinyl

The vinyl lovers among Pink Floyd fans have been eagerly waiting for this. The rock legends are gradually releasing all of their albums as LPs again. The band's first four albums will be released in June 2016, including »Ummagumma«.

For the reissue, all songs on the album were completely remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman.

The albums were released at the same time as “Ummagumma”. »The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn«, »A Saucerful Of Secrets« and »More« reissued. All reissues are released on 180g vinyl. The cover artwork is the original design.
