You are looking at vintage Martin Taropatch. In case you are not
familiar with them, it's basically a double course concert ukulele that
Martin produced during a 10 or 11 years window in 1920's-1930's. At the
time when electronic tuners weren't invented yet Taropatch did not gain a
lot of traction due to fact they were harder to tune plus its cost was
more than a normal concert ukulele. Nowadays only small number of
them survived. Most of those you come across will need complete works
like neck reset, fret's leveling, new bridge, etc. which renders them
unfeasible due to cost of repairs which may be more than cost of the
instrument.
In case of this Taropatch you are in lick as it is
completely restored and ready to be used! I played it a lot last few
years. Long side crack is repaired with cleat-reinforcements inside. One
or two hairline cracks on top and back are also addressed and hardly
visible. Original bridge is repaired to function as intended, please
refer to the images to see the repair. Neck is straight and action is
low. Instrument is comfortable to play and original tuners are cleaned
and oiled. Finish is original and untouched. Any darker or lighter spots
are light reflections. Basically this Taropatch is ready to be enjoyed
without any further repairs or setup.
Comes with a brand new Ohana hard case which fits it pretty well. Shipped insured to CONUS.
