I bought this at an estate sale and was told it was iron stone. It's a beautiful piece with a 1/2 in. size chip on the underside of the base (see photo). It has a glossy glaze with web-like cracks in the glaze. It's a creamy white in color with some darker spots showing it's age.
The lid has beautiful details with a pear as the handle.
This bowl and lid weigh 2lbs 0.6oz.
