The 76th Indianapolis 500 was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, on Sunday, May 24, 1992. The race is famous for the fierce battle in the closing laps, as race winner Al Unser Jr. held off second place Scott Goodyear for the victory by 0.043 seconds, the closest finish in Indy history. Unser Jr. became the first second-generation driver to win the Indy 500, following in the footsteps of his father Al Unser Sr. He also became the third member of the famous Unser family to win the race. Not only does this program have great information and photos of the drivers it also has some great ads. Some of the full page advertisements include Coca Cola, Buick, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Oil and Gas Ads and many more This really a rare piece of race history, and overall it’s in good used condition. It does have minor wear and marks and use from being over 30 years old (See Photos). If I had to rate it, I would give it a 8+ out of 10, but that is only my opinion, check for the photos and you can judge. (See our other Indy 500 Items including Bobby Unser and Johnny Rutherford Estate items) The program was owned and protected for many years by a longtime race fan and collector. That is our chance to own this legendary Indy 500 race program before its gone.
