Samoca 35 Model M-28 35mm Rangefinder Camera – Boxed, Near Mint, Case, Strap, Manual – Shutter Works 1/25 & Faster
Offered for sale is a beautifully preserved Samoca 35 Model M-28, a Japanese 35mm rangefinder camera produced in the late 1950s by Samoca Camera Co., Ltd. This camera comes in near-mint condition with its original box, leather case, shoulder strap, instruction manual, and even the original Sears Roebuck price tag ($34.95) — a complete and rare presentation.
Cosmetically, the camera is exceptionally clean — bright metal finish, clear engravings, and intact leatherette. The lens is bright and clear, showing no haze or fungus.
Mechanically, the shutter operates correctly at 1/25 second and faster, while the lower speeds (1/10 and below) are sticking, likely due to dried lubrication — common for cameras of this age. The rangefinder is bright and responsive.
