A wonderful pair of French art deco flush mounts in nickel-plated bronze or solid brass. The gorgeous mounts hold a globe in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. The lamp is made by Célestin Jamain. A Paris based producer and seller of art deco lighting during the interbellum. The shades are both signed Sonover. It is short for "Société Normande de Verrerie". A glass factory in Normandy during the interbellum. Alongside its industrial production it had a small line of pressed glass lamp shades in art deco style.
Jamain also made a larger version of this flush mount for which he used 25 cm wide balls. See my other listings for two of those.
The flush mounts here on offer have a height of 18 cm and the globe has a diameter of 14,5 cm. They are in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounts. And the fixtures are rewired with an American candelabra base socket each. For European countries I will place E14 ones.
