The JHS 3 Series Octave Reverb Pedal is often called shimmer and the effect mixes ambient reverb and octave effects in the reverb's decay. This classic effect has been used for decades to allow the guitar to create pads and textures that fill out ambient space.

The Up/Down toggle switch adds a higher octave to the decay in the up position and a lower octave in the down position. The Verb knob allows you to blend the wet reverb signal on top of your dry signal as you turn the knob clockwise, the Decay knob controls the length of the reverb trail and the Octave knob controls how much of the octave up or down effect is added into the reverb decay.
