The item had corrosion from a battery being left in the battery compartment. I cleaned it out and it is working now although wasn’t able to get all the corrosion out. Works fine though, powers up and functions normally.

You can probably clean the corrosion out a bit better but I didn’t have the tools. It’s mostly cosmetic and can’t see it with the cover on.
