Another feature of the spring consists of maintaining wear compensation during lip operation. It is made of harmonious steel wire in the springs SAE 1074 (DIN 17223) or stainless steel wire AISI 316-AISI 304. In the standard version of FPM (Viton), the nib consists in most cases
made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304).
